Brown Sugar Hand and Foot Scrub with Emu Oil
Cold weather and frequent hand-washing are hard on hands and heels. This scrub takes five minutes and two ingredients: brown sugar and 100% Pure Emu Oil. It leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, and one 30ml bottle of oil makes a batch.
What you need
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp 100% Pure Emu Oil (a 30ml bottle is about 2 tbsp)
- A clean, dry jar
How to make it
- Mix the brown sugar and emu oil until it looks like wet sand. If the oil has gone cloudy in the cold, warm the bottle in your hands first.
- Spoon it into the jar.
How to use it
Massage a little onto damp hands or feet for a minute, using light pressure. Rinse and pat dry. The oil makes surfaces slippery, so rinse the tub or shower floor afterwards.
A few tips
- Once or twice a week is plenty.
- Skip cracked or broken skin.
- Keep water out of the jar and use it within a month, since there is no preservative in it.
- Do a small patch test first.
