Questions about Pure Emu Oil

Can’t find yours? Contact us and we’ll help.

What Is Pure Emu Oil Good For?

Pure emu oil is a fast-absorbing, single-ingredient moisturizer. People use it to keep dry or sensitive skin comfortable, as a light hair and scalp conditioner, and to help keep scars, stretch marks, and tired muscles feeling soft and comfortable. It is a cosmetic, not a medicine, and it will not treat or cure any condition.

Is Emu Oil Really Made from Emu?

Yes. Emu oil is rendered from the fat of adult emu. The fat is vacuum packed, frozen, and sent to our refiner, where it becomes crude oil and is then fully refined through a natural, chemical-free method that preserves its natural fatty-acid profile.

What Are the Side Effects of Emu Oil?

Fully refined 100% pure emu oil has no artificial fragrances, dyes, or chemical fillers, and most people tolerate it well. As with any natural product, do a patch test before your first use.

How Can I Tell If Emu Oil Is High Quality?

Good pure emu oil runs cream to light straw in colour, odourless and virtually tasteless. Dark yellow, red, or brown tints point to poor refining. Always look for oil that’s 100% pure, fully refined, and AEA certified.

What Is the Shelf Life of Pure Emu Oil?

Willow Springs pure emu oil keeps for at least 18 months at room temperature, and over two years refrigerated. Store it out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

Why Does My Pure Emu Oil Look Thick or Creamy?

That’s completely normal. Emu oil is naturally semi-solid below 24°C. Warm it under hot water to liquify. If it separates into two fractions, just shake. Both fractions are still pure emu oil.

What Customers Say

★★★★★

I love the emu oil. I use it on my face every day and night. My skin looks very youthful and it has removed the fine lines. Actually, I use it from head to toe. I am looking forward to receiving my new order... Thank you again.

The emu oil is way better (more absorbing and less irritating) than the one I was using. Thank you for the wonderful products.

We absolutely love emu oil and so do our customers! We sell it alongside our tattoo and piercing aftercare and recommend it to everyone. At home we use it for anything from scrapes, to moisturizer when our skin is particularly dry. Thank you so much for creating such great and natural products.
